Prima di tutto scusatemi se il blog sta prendendo una piega un po' monotematica, questo è già il terzo post in una settimana in cui parlo di Roger Taylor, ma non è colpa mia se lui non sta fermo un attimo (ma lo è riportare qui le notizie... va be', non addentriamoci in queste considerazioni cavillose).

Ad ogni modo, oltre al fatto che essendo il blog mio parlo poi di quel che voglio quando voglio, prometto che domani o dopodomani cambio argomento e vi consiglio invece qualche film, che è da un po' che non lo faccio ^^

Comunque sia, visti i recenti sviluppi che mi hanno portata a dover mantenere le mie promesse a base di nutella e coppa (che non ho ancora fatto, dovrò provvedere), ultimamente tendo a tenere d'occhio i siti relativi, per non perdere aggiornamenti e precisazioni.

Questo è quello che ho trovato oggi sul sito/blog di Brian a sua volta tratto da BBC 6 MUSIC. Tra parentesi i miei inutili commenti che non ci stanno a dir niente, ma avevo voglia di fare lo stesso.

As Queen release their new Best Of album (per la gioia di pochi e il disinteresse di molti, praticamente tutti possiedono già il Greatest Hits e quindi di questo se ne fanno niente), drummer Roger Taylor reveals plans to play with another drumming hero. Taylor has revealed he may undertake a series of live dates next year with fellow sticksman Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters. (se lo fanno sul serio metto la nutella anche sui tortellini e su altre cose che potete consigliarmi. Adoro Taylor Hawkins *_* )

"I’ve been thinking about doing a tour next year - a very quick tour (no eh! La parola "quick" sa molto di esclusione dell'Italia dal tour e questo ovviamente non mi piace è_é Qua va a finire che è la volta buona che organizzo un viaggetto in Inghilterra) - with Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters," he explained to 6 Music."He’s like one of my best blood brothers! So we might do that. That sounds like fun. He’s awesome. I love him. He’s got such a great, open approach to life."(presumo che a Taylor Hawkins faccia piacere sentire dire queste cose, visto quanto è fan dei Queen e di Roger Es.1 ed Es.2)

It was also announced that Queen’s original Greatest Hits 1 album has (according to the BPI) become the biggest selling album since the charts were started over 50 years ago. In addition, Queen have overtaken The Beatles in UK album history, having spent more weeks in the UK charts than Lennon and McCartney’s legendary group. (boh, va be', mi importa poco sapere quanto vendono i miei musicisti preferiti a dire il vero, l'importante è che possa ascoltarli)

"I must admit, we were quite amazed when we heard that," Taylor continued, "I’m a big Beatles fan (oh, abbiamo una cosa in comune ^^), but it’s wonderful. Things like that are very nice, they’re really cherry’s on top of our age. I think it’s a technical achievement, but it’s very nice. I’ll tell my Mum." (ah, la mamma di Roger, ne ho sentite tante su di lei che ormai è quasi più mitica del figlio XD)

Taylor also discussed Queen’s recent appearance and performance on the X Factor, saying how much he enjoyed the experience despite criticism of the show’s format.

"It is was it is," he said. "I find it enormously flattering that they devoted a whole show to our songs, which is great. It brings our songs to more people, which is part of what we’re about. So I wouldn’t sit here all high and mighty and knock it. It’s an entertainment, and it was fun. It was fun being the only live thing as well!" (questa cosa non l'ho vista, sarà meglio spulciare un po' youtube)

Roger Taylor releases a new single The Unblinking Eye (Everything Is Broken), his first solo release in 12 years, on Monday 23 November. (eh, dopo 12 anni direi che ci voleva)
